This presentation focuses on sharing documentation from a website archiving project while highlighting the fragility of the internet and reliable data. For this America 250 themed conference special attention will be given to highlighting projects like the End of Term Web Archive and Citizen Historians for the Smithsonian which work to preserve information related the U.S. government. These efforts document changes to materials which can face intentional malice alteration with the goal of rewriting history.
