About me
Maribeth Shafer started her library career as the Assistant Director at Pottawatomie Wabaunsee Regional Library. She then moved to Great Bend, KS and worked at the Central Kansas Library System in several roles throughout her 13 year tenure there. In 2023, she became the Library Director at the Great Bend Public Library and continues to be active in the library community. Throughout her 21 years in the library field she has presented at many conferences including KLA, MPLA, ARSL and for other library systems including MALA and Illinois Library Systems. She understands the challenges public libraries face no matter how big or small and believes that by working together librarians can move mountains.
